Recently out ‘Stay With Me’ singer, Sam Smith, has spoken up about dating in the digital age.
Smith recently spoke to the Metro about app dating, specifically Tindr and Grindr, and called for smartphone users to stop using the apps for the sake of traditional romance. He said, “From my experience the most beautiful people I’ve been on dates with are the dumbest, so why would I swipe people who are ‘unattractive’ when I could potentially fall in love with them? Stop Tinder and Grindr!”
He added that hook up apps are “ruining romance” and claimed that “[Users] are losing the art of conversation and being able to go and speak to people.”
Having said that, Smith said that he isn’t really looking for anything too serious at the moment, but mentioned, “There is one particular guy that I’ve been on a few dates with. I like him but who knows?”
Sure, when would he find the time to date between releasing a new album and collaborating with Nile Rodgers?!
