After spending YEARS in the closet, Mr Burns’ right hand man Waylon Smithers is to finally say the words, “I am gay”.

Okay, so he has the world’s largest Malibu Stacy collection, he dreams about his elderly boss flying through his window at night. Sure, in later episodes he even frequents gay bars. But can you believe that Smithers has never actually come out?

Well that is about to change.

According to FOX:

HOMER TURNS TO A DATING APP TO HELP FIND SMITHERS A BOYFRIEND ON AN ALL-NEW “THE SIMPSONS” 

When Smithers is devastated by Burns’ lack of affection towards him, Homer makes it his mission to find him a boyfriend. 

So, Homer is logging on to a Grindr-like app to find Smithers a beau? This is going to get interesting.

George Takei is also set to guest star. ‘The Burns Cage’ will air Sunday, April 3 on FOX.
