Together illustrator Jill Deering and printmaker Gillian Henderson have created the collaborative studio, Jill & Gill, producing much sought after prints and apparel.
In GCN Issue 339, we spoke to the pair about what the Jill & Gill brand is all about:
“Collaboration. We are a first a foremost a collaborative duo made up of illustration and print. Our ethos is always about pushing and challenging each other to create and discover more.
“We are always exploring how we can be more diverse in our work. To achieve these goals, we are firm believers in collaborating with our fellow peers, not only between ourselves.”
They have also recently collaborated with the REPEAL project creating a print which was illustrated and screen printed by hand as a way of contributing to the pro-choice campaign.
Their most recent project ‘Boss Lady’ is “a celebration of aspirational women through illustration, print, and style”.
Their first in the series was the always fabulous Panti, the t-shirts are some of our favourites and we rocked them fairly intensely…
We are now delighted to be part of a collaboration with the amazing duo on their second in the ‘Boss Lady’ series.
GCN’s commercial manager Lisa Connell said:
