Snoop Dogg has taken to Instagram to call Caitlyn Jenner a “science project”.
Rapper Snoop Dogg took to Instagram to praise rapper Akon – who is supplying solar power to the continent of Africa – while, in turn, blasting the media for not giving his initiative coverage.
Instead of just leaving it there (oh, Snoop, why didn’t you just leave it there?) he criticised the media for covering the transition of Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce.
Recently, singer Akon revealed his plans to bring solar-powered energy to 600 million people across Africa with the Akon Lighting Africa initiative.
The Senegalese-American singer announced on May 21st that he would launch a new “Solar Academy” in Africa which aims to provide electricity to 600 million people across the continent, according to Reuters. The academy is set to open in Mali this summer and will teach African engineers and entrepreneurs how to produce solar power.
However, in a move that is less than classy, Snoop Dogg criticised the media for, instead, covering the gender transition of Olympic gold medal-winner Caitlyn Jenner.
Many people took to Twitter to vent their frustration with Snoop Dogg’s derogatory comments.
The Snoop Dogg/”science project” thing is gross. Akon’s thing is great, but why talk down another human being?

Instead of taking down Caitlyn Jenner, perhaps Snoop Dogg should wonder why Akon’s initiative wasn’t covered by the media even though it was announced a full week before Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover.
