Gossip sites are reporting that country-pop superstar Taylor Swift has shacked up with Victoria’s Secret model Karlie Kloss, and the two are “in love”.

We know, right? Completely fabricated slow news day filler? It seems there may be a tiny shred of truth to this outlandish claim.

Here’s how events transpired:

The Mail on Sunday first reported that Taylor Swift was moving in with her BFF 22 year-old Karlie Kloss, stating that she had “found her soulmate” and Kloss “jumped” at the chance to live with the country star. Reporter for the Mail on Sunday, Charlotte Griffiths wrote that a “source” close to Swift shared intimate details about their relationship, saying that the duo are “rarely apart”. Seriously celebs, get better friends who keep their mouth shut!

The source said,

“Taylor and Karlie have grown very close. They are inseparable. Taylor wanted someone to live with her, to have some company, and Karlie jumped at the chance to move in with her friend. They spent a lot of time together before Karlie moved in but now they are rarely apart. They do everything together, from visits to the gym to going on road trips.”

Fluff, right? Of course they are just mates! But here is where it gets interesting: two days after its initial publication, the article vanished from the MailOnline website with no explanation. Before Swifties heads explode, this story was first reported on Gawker (the same guys who brought you such headlines as “James Franco is Living With a Man” and “San Diego Women Held Hostage By Cat.”)

Sean Walsh, a spokesperson from the MailOnline told Gawker, “They asked us to spike it, and we have no idea why.” 

Yesterday, Kloss’ camp made a statement about the article saying, “Karlie and Taylor do not live together and have no plans to live together.”

So, this begs the question, is there something going on between Swift and the 22 year-old model that they are trying to cover up? Seems that even if they have no plans to move in together, why make such a fuss trying to dispute it?

We admit that considering Swift makes a living out of writing songs about boys, and that Kloss is rumoured to be dating businessman Joshua Kusher, the lesbian coupling seems unlikely. But, only time will tell…
