Madonna has been drip-feeding fans vague details via Instagram about her forthcoming 13th studio album over the past couple of months, but today we finally discovered some actual music.
The only problem is the music is not from her eagerly-awaited new record – though that’s not strictly a problem when the tracks in question are leftovers from the Queen of Pop’s sessions with Shep Pettibone from the sensual Erotica era.
The two tracks – Shame and You Are The One – are said to be from The Rain Tapes, which were a collection of songs recorded by Madonna in late 1991 and early 1992, many of which have remained unreleased until now. The tape is said to also feature demo and alternative versions of tracks that eventually featured on her controversial 1992 Erotica album.
While we’re on this trip down her Madgesty’s memory lane, check out Madonna’s ‘Top 10 Forgotten Singles’ in anticipation of her new album.
