Beyoncé once again proved why she is the Queen of the Universe after she gave a showstopping performance at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Beyoncé is known for her insanely high standard of showmanship, but this just might be her best performance to date.

Mrs. Carter performed a medley of tracks from her self-titled 2013 album, before accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award honouring her for her entire body of work. The award was presented to her by husband Jay Z, and heir to the Carter throne, baby Blue Ivy – successfully squashing those pesky break-up rumours.

The setlist of the performance leaked online prior to the ceremony, and as the internet went nuts, the pressure was on Yoncé to deliver!

Lucky for us, in true Queen Bey style, she blew every other performer out of the water. Did we expect any less?
