Speaking to Claire Byrne on Claire Byrne Live last night, Colin Farrell revealed why he is so passionate about same-sex marriage.

Speaking from Los Angeles via satellite, Farrell first off spoke of his brother and how he found out about his brother being gay. He revealed that he knew of his brother’s sexual orientation when he was nine-years-old and it was “who he was”.

The Dublin-born actor then spoke about Eamon‘s successful marriage, how he had to get married in Vancouver – he also said that it was “grossly unfair” that his brother had to leave his own country to marry the man he loves.

He then said that he supports same-sex marriage with “every fibre of my being”.
