Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi – our favourite lesbian couple – have revealed their holiday newsletter on The Ellen Show.

Ellen read out their letter on her show that included the highlights of her and Portia’s year. She spoke about hosting the Oscars and Portia’s new role on Scandal. She mentioned how many times the tabloids have said they are pregnant – 16 – and how their nieces have grown. Then she ended with a word, and a picture, of her lovely mother – with her own trademark humour, of course.

Basically, if we’ve learned anything from this, it’s that we should aspire to be Ellen and Portia.
