Actress Emma Stone is set to play a lesbian character in the upcoming black comedy film ‘Birdman’ starring Michael Keaton as an aging actor once known for his role as an iconic superhero.

The film, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, sees the Amazing Spider-man star play Keaton’s lesbian daughter, and also stars Zach Galifianakis, Edward Norton, Andrea Riseborough, Amy Ryan and Naomi Watts.

The film is scheduled to be released this October in the US.
