Jamie Foxx has come under fire for transphobic jokes he made at the expense of Bruce Jenner, who is rumoured to be transitioning.

At the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards last night, host Jamie Foxx stood in front of a giant picture of Bruce Jenner’s face and made jokes that were deemed transphobic by critics and did not garner many laughs from the audience.

In January, Russell Brand addressed transphobia in the media in relation to Bruce Jenner.

“We have some groundbreaking performances here, too, tonight. We got Bruce Jenner, who will be here doing some musical performances. He’s doing a his-and-her duet all by himself.”

Foxx made these jokes, presumably without realising that Bruce’s daughter Kylie was in the audience.

“Look,” he added. “I’m just busting your balls… while I still can.”

From viewing the video, it seems that the joke went over like a case of smallpox.
