Kelly DiPaola courageously and uniquely came out to her family on Christmas Eve – and recorded the entire thing.

Kelly says, “I couldn’t seem to find the right words or perfect timing to tell those in my life the one secret I’d been hiding: that I was a lesbian.”

Struggling to find the best way to tell her family, she decided on making them all “ally t-shirts” for Christmas, as well as giving each family member a handwritten note saying, “Because I have more faith in the love in your heart, justness of your mind, and goodness in your soul, please wear this shirt in support of me and be my ally.”

She recorded the planning process all the way up to the big reveal, and said, “Their reaction was everything I wanted…”
