Laverne Cox is everywhere these days, and we’re cool with it. She appeared on This Morning on CBS and schooled Gayle ‘Oprah’s BFF’ King on what transgender means to her.

While introducing Cox, Gayle King says, “Let’s let people know about you, Laverne, because you were born a boy,”

Cox was quick to educate King, saying, “I was assigned male at birth, is the way I like to put it, because we’re born who we are.”
