R&B legend Mary J. Blige joined up-and-comer Sam Smith on a live version of his hit ballad, ‘Stay With Me’.

The 22 year-old joined Blige on stage and performed a soulful performance of the heart-wrenching chart topper on Good Morning America.

Just last week, Smith talked openly about his sexuality for the first time. He told FADER that his new album, In The Lonely Hour, was inspired by a man that he fell in love with.

He added that his sexuality was never a secret, but he never felt the need to discuss it.

“Why is [my sexuality] a talking point?” he asked. “I’m singing, I’m making music, I’m performing my music—that’s what should be the talking point.”
