They’re the most stylish 21 year-old twin sisters you’ll see this season, and we can back that up with a majorly legitimate quote from style bible Vogue, which has praised Say Lou Lou’s “Jaclyn Smith meets young Meryl Streep” look recently.
The Swedish-Australian siblings, who cite Arcade Fire and Fleetwood Mac among their influences, have released a string of shimmering dream pop singles, with the latest ‘Everything We Touch’, capturing the attention of critics beyond the blogosphere.
The dazzlingly detailed synth-driven track, which is accompanied by a highly stylised video, has been described as “Abba without the bearded men” by BBC Music, which featured the act on its Sound of 2014 longlist.
Miranda and Elektra Kilbey, who are the daughters of Australian rock veteran Steve Kilbey, started out by founding their own independent record label, à Deux, before making their major label debut with the Columbia Records single ‘Better In The Dark’ last December.
