The upcoming series finale of Sense8 has received a brand new trailer, and during it, we’re told that the gang have one more mission, “to save the 8th”.
Given that the underlying message of Sense8 is about the value of diversity and social justice, we’re hoping the sensates aren’t talking about the 8th amendment to Ireland’s constitution – which the country will be voting on come May 25.
Today, GCN published a special Repeal Issue, featuring a survey in which 91% of respondents to a survey of Ireland’s LGBT+ community said they will be voting Yes in the referendum to repeal the 8th.
Meanwhile, Netflix will premiere the final episode of Sense8 on June 8, following a petition signed by over half a million people after the streaming giant cancelled the series.
The trailer, below, asks a question that’s agonized philosophers for centuries: What does it mean to be human? It’s a question at the centre of Sense8, and one the two-hour finale seems to be focusing on.
That, and saving the 8th, of course.
Shame on them!
