Minister for Health Leo Varadkar‘s coming out has seemed to reach New York as Saturday Night Live made a joke about the first openly gay government minister.

Weekend Update anchor Colin Jost reported on Leo Varadkar’s coming out, quipping, “Of course in Ireland ‘gay’ just means you have less than eight kids.”.

Well played, Jost, well played.
