A lesbian couple who met at Ireland’s annual matchmaking festival, The Outing, are to tie the knot next year.
Offaly natives, Christina Procter, 33, and Amy Gavin, 30, are the first couple who found love at the festival to announce their wedding. They were introduced by Ireland’s drag superstar, Miss Panti, at The Outing’s main matchmaking event two years ago.
“Panti grabbed me by the arm and dragged me over to her,” Christina told The Irish Mirror. “Panti said, ‘I’ve a feeling you two are just meant to be’.
“She was so right.”
The Co. Clare village of Lisdoonvarna hosts an annual matchmaking festival that’s reknowned all over the world. The Outing, which is the LGBT strand of the festival, takes place every October.
Christina and Amy will tie the knot next February, with organiser of The Outing, Eddie McGuinness, officiating at the ceremony.
Congratulations from everyone at The Outmost, ladies!
