Wicklow Pride has officially announced its highly anticipated festival for 2025. The event promises to include incredible performers, organisations, and proud LGBTQ+ community members and allies who will march through the streets, spreading messages of love, equality, and empowerment.
Last year’s Pride set the bar high, but the upcoming festival is set to surpass expectations. Kicking off on June 28, participants will enjoy a full week of spectacular entertainment, events, and community activities all across the town.
There is something for everyone at Wicklow Pride 2025. From comedy nights with the best queer comedians to events honouring LGBTQ+ literature, the festival guarantees to be an engaging and fun-filled week.
Other highlights include Dip & Sip, where participants will enjoy a beautiful morning swim, or the coffee morning, offering a perfect time for chats and good vibes. For the art lovers, there will also be a Wine & Art Night, ideal for spending a relaxing evening with a glass of wine while discovering art from some of the best queer talent around Ireland. There are additionally a range of online workshops on topics such as mental health, inclusivity and LGBTQ+ rights.
The festival will culminate on July 5, with the parade kicking off at Abbey St. car park and moving all the way through Wicklow Town. Participants are then invited to Black Castle for an afternoon of fun and celebration. The free event will feature music, stalls, food, family fun and entertainment from a variety of speakers and performers. There will also be sensory-friendly zones available.
Patrick Bracken, Chairperson of Wicklow Pride said the event “will be another vibrant celebration —a true reflection of love, inclusivity, and community spirit in the heart of Wicklow Town, for all of Wicklow.”
He added, “But we can’t do it alone. Every donation and sponsorship helps us create a safe, joyous, and empowering event for all. Join us in making this Pride another unforgettable event!”
For more details on events, donations, sponsorship opportunities and volunteer sign-ups, visit Wicklow Pride on Instagram or the official website. For parade registrations, keep your eyes peeled for when the form goes live.
This year’s Pride promises to be a memorable experience for all who attend, celebrating love, equality, and community in the heart of Wicklow.
