Thought-provoking singer, songwriter and poet Kara Jackson is coming to Dublin on September 10 to perform emotional hits from her debut album Why Does the Earth Give Us People to Love? and we’ve got two tickets to give away to one lucky reader!
Whether you have heard her name before or are hearing about her for the first time, Kara Jackson’s headline show at the Workman’s Cellar is not one to miss.
Kara harnesses her unique writing style blending emotional folk music and poetic alt-country that leaves her listeners with a full heart. With many influences of her family’s southern roots, her velvety voice is softly accompanied by a gently plucked guitar in every performance.
Why Does the Earth Give Us People to Love? was released in March this year, following a theme of asking open-ended questions. Her endlessly engaging attempt of trying to provide answers leaves listeners pausing for thought and exploring their inner worlds. Kara invites audiences to process their grief by asking deep questions such as, “How do we have the audacity to love in spite of everything invented to deter us from it?”
Tickets to see Kara Jackson live at the Workman’s Cellar in Dublin are on sale now, starting at €16.35. But if you’re feeling lucky, GCN has a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky reader! For a chance to win and attend the unmissable gig, simply answer the following question:
