A brand new Stock Aitken Waterman Musical called I Should Be So Lucky is coming to Ireland, and GCN has three pairs of tickets for the opening night on May 7 to give away to three lucky readers!
The musical features a young couple, Ella and Nathan who are hopelessly in love and about to get married, but things don’t go quite to plan. In a Mamma Mia-style production, the audience is left to wonder, “Will they be together forever, or will he make her cry and say goodbye?”
This fun and uplifting pop show features ten Number 1 pop songs and over 25 songs from the Hit Factory, whose music defined an era. The show even includes a digital appearance by Kylie Minogue, who stars in a fairy godmother-style role. She will appear throughout the show as a specially created character unique to the musical.
Kylie Minogue said, “I’m thrilled to announce that I will be joining Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW) in presenting the new musical, I Should Be So Lucky!

The soundtrack also includes music from Kylie Minogue (I Should Be So Lucky), Rick Astley (Never Gonna Give You Up), Jason Donovan (Too Many Broken Hearts), Bananarama (Love In The First Degree) and Mel and Kim (Respectable).
The show is written and directed by Debbie Isitt and choreographed by Jason Gilkison, with musical direction by George Dyer. And, best of all, the complete soundtrack is already available on Spotify, so you can prep your vocals and get ready for the show today!
I Should Be So Lucky the Musical will be playing at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from May 7 to 11.
