The World's Biggest Lesbian Festival Announces Headliners

L Fest kicks off in Whales next month with two 80s icons topping the bill.

L Fest, the world’s biggest lesbian festival, have announced two 80’s icons as their headliners for 2018 and we’re excited!

The news was announced thon Facebook yesterday, with organisers saying “ONE MONTH TO GOOOOO and we have something to shout about, we are sooo excited at HQ. Here are our headliners for L Fest 2018 and as we know how so many of you love your 80’s, we have not one but two GLOBAL 80’s ICONS for you”.

Katrina from Katrina and the Waves and Toyah Willcox will top the bill at this year’s festival which is taking place in Bodafon Farm Park, Llandudno, Wales, between Friday, July 13th, and Monday, July 16th. What started out as a multi-sport weekend for women who like women, L Fest has grown to become an award winning festival that now runs 3 international lesbian events.

Katrina Leskanich is most popularly known for her band’s 1985 chart topper ‘Walking on Sunshine’. Katrina and the Waves are also the last UK act to win the Eurovision with their 1996 hit Love Shine a Light. She’ll be headlining the Saturday of the festival.

Toyah Wilcox has had a career that’s spanned over 30 years. During that time she’s had 8 top 40 singles and released over twenty albums. She’s known for her hits ‘It’s a Mystery’,’Thunder in the Mountains’ and ‘I Want to Be Free’. She’ll be headlining the Sunday.

L Fest is the only lesbian festival of it’s  kind in the UK , and offers everything from music to arts and comedy. This year’s festival has moved to a seaside spot in Wales and offers free camping to all attendees. The festival embraces a family friendly atmosphere, and has tons of fun activities for all ages.

With only one month until the (sold out) festival, organisers have released 50 extra tickets! So get your hands on them before they’re gone, then set sail for sunny Wales for a weekend of comedy, music and female empowerment by the bucket load.
