BBC radio host and X Factor judge, Nick Grimshaw, opened up about his sexuality – saying he never felt the need to come out of the closet, because it was all that he has ever known.

Nick Grimshaw, who is a celebrity judge on this years season of The X Factor, spoke candidly to Radio Times saying that he has always been confident in his sexuality.

“I never felt as an adult that I even had to come out,” he said. “I only feel like you’re coming out if you’ve been married, or pretended you were straight… I never had any false thoughts in my brain.

“There were no bulletins to be delivered because it was all I ever knew.”

Also in the interview, Grimshaw praised former teen idol Miley Cyrus for coming out as pansexual and for her efforts in helping LGBT youth in recent years.

“For all the rolling around in her knickers, she actually has a conscience and founded her own charity for transgender youth,” Grimshaw said about Miley Cyrus.

“When she hosted the MTV Video Music Awards this year she got all the kids to come on and speak. Just putting transgender teens on TV to middle America is very powerful.”

Earlier this year, Grimshaw started a media frenzy when he insinuated that he has slept with his friend Harry Styles. Although his camp later denied that he bedded the One Direction heartthrob, fans have speculated ever since over whether or not their relationship is just a “bromance”.
