Kate Pierson, flame-haired lead singer of The B52s, married her partner in an intimate ceremony in Hawaii at the weekend.

67 year-old Pierson took to social media to share her Hawaiian wedding snaps, with the caption ‘#itsofficial!’ The photos show Pierson in a pink, Victorian-style dress with her wife opting for a tasteful gold gown.

“The wedding was attended by the entire B52s band, Sia Furler and husband Erik Anders Lang were the witnesses,” a spokesperson for Pierson told E! News.

“Sia performed the song she wrote for the couple ‘Crush Me With You Love’ on Pierson’s first solo album Guitars and Microphones and was accompanied by the famous Hawaii music group the Lim Family who serenaded the attendees during the event. Fred Schneider made the best man speech.”

The B52s have been touring and releasing albums since their 1978’s hit single ‘Rock Lobster’ propelled them to stardom. The band are currently touring alongside 1980s new wavers The Psychedelic Furs with a string of concerts at the Hollywood Bowl this fall, reports the Daily Mail.

Pierson released her first solo album ‘Guitars and Microphones’ earlier this year in an exclusive deal with Barnes and Noble in the US.
