With a brand new, joyous show about family and acceptance up their sleeve, non-binary comedian Sarah Keyworth is ready to take over Dublin this November. And the good news doesn’t end there, as GCN has two pairs of tickets to give away to our lucky readers!

After emerging as a runner-up at the 2015 Funny Women, comedian Sarah Keyworth went from gig to gig making audiences all over the UK and beyond cry with laughter with their sharp comedy. In 2020, they created Are You a Boy or a Girl?, a four-part comedy series for BBC Radio 4 exploring gender fluidity.

2024 marks an important year for the comedian, as they turned 30, got diagnosed with ADHD and had top surgery. However, the biggest revelation of the year was that their mother was indeed right. Not about everything, of course, but certainly about the teen drinking and being “forced” to go on holiday.

Sarah Keyworth explores these themes in their new comedy show My Eyes Are Up Here, as well as their choice to have top surgery. Discussing the long road that led them there, the comedian says they feel lucky in a lot of ways, but especially about the people they have around them.

However, they are also aware of the increasingly negative climate that gender non-conforming people face and how important it is to foster positive conversations about gender identity.

In a show that reflects on conversations with their nearest and dearest, Sarah Keyworth looks back on the past year and asks big questions like: What does acceptance look like? From whom does it matter? Is it ok to dance around your family kitchen with your new nipples out?

If this show sounds like your idea of fun, Sarah Keyworth will be performing at Vicar Street on November 27 and Liberty Hall Theatre on November 29. Tickets for both dates are on sale on Ticketmaster, but if you want to be in with a chance of winning a pair to the Vicar Street gig, simply answer the following question:

What is the name of Sarah Keyworth’s new comedy show?

The competition closes at midnight on Monday, November 18, 2024. Winners will be contacted directly and shared on social media.
