It's only a matter of time before Terri Joe will crack the mainstream.

If you’ve been scrolling the LGBTQ+ side of TikTok, chances are you’ve come across Terri Joe.

The God-fearing, conservative, homophobic, southern creator is hellbent on helping queer people cure their “deviant” ways, and when they join her on her channel, it makes for hilarious watching.

Of course, I should point out here that Terri Joe is the alter-ego of Kelon Campbell, AKA Psyiconic, a comedic genius who uses this parody persona to create hysterical content.

Since Campbell began creating videos on TikTok, Terri Joe has become a sensation in the online LGBTQ+ community, and she’s had some particularly noteworthy livestreams with some high-profile names, including Trisha Paytas, Bob the Drag Queen, Hunter Schafer, and even Madonna herself.

With all this buzz surrounding Terri Joe, it was only a matter of time before she found herself cracking the mainstream, which is why news that she is starring in a feature film is music to our ears.

That’s right, this TikTok star is moving from the phone screen to the big screen as she is set to appear in Terri Joe: Missionary in Miami. The film will see Terri Joe living her best Christian life with her mother in Louisiana, until a gang of masked men upends her life when they come to rob the shop she works in.

Terri escapes the robbery, but the gang, afraid she’ll report them to the police, is hellbent on tracking her down. Our southern diva then finds herself with nowhere to live, and ends up connecting with a cousin in South Florida. Their meetup coincides with Miami Swim Week and, surrounded by scandalous behaviour and unmodest fashion choices, Terri sticks out like a sore thumb. Naturally enough, chaos ensues.

In addition to Terri Joe, it looks like the film will spotlight some of Psyiconic’s other iconic alter egos – Jeorgia Peach and Amethyst Jade.

Terri Joe: Missionary in Miami will stream on Tubi on January 30.
