22-year-old Sam Smith blew his competition out of the water as his debut album In The Lonely Hour bagged Smith four out six awards he was nominated for. The British crooner won Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album for his debut album. His hit ballad Stay With Me secured him Record of the Year and Song of the Year, beating Ireland’s own Hozier who was nominated in the category for Take Me To Church.

If that wasn’t enough, Smith then performed the winning song with R’n’B icon Mary J. Blige accompanied by a full orchestra.
