To kick off 2027, iconic queer Dublin club, Mother, will be making a return to Lost Lane on New Year’s Eve.

From 10pm on Thursday, December 31, until the early hours of January 1, the music venue and bar will host two DJs — Rocky T. Delgado and Glamo — in the Main Room and Library, respectively. Rocky T. Delgado, a regular fixture and core resident for Mother, will be bringing “big-room energy, peak-time moments and a countdown you’ll remember,” while Glamo will hone a space of “slinkier grooves, glitter and dancing until well after midnight.”

The club’s final party of the year — and first of the next — will welcome “big energy, queer joy and dancing well into the New Year,” according to the announcement.

The event will close out a very successful 2026 for Mother, which included their annual Pride Block Party in June. They also hosted a series of daytime dance parties this year, such as their Queer Rave in May and Daytime Dance Party in October.

If that weren’t enough, Mother After Dark also returned to Electric Picnic in August, one of the highlights of the lineup.

Mother was first founded in 2010 to raise funds for GCN, Ireland’s free, independent LGBTQ+ media. It has since grown into a home for queer culture in Dublin and Ireland more broadly, hosting a collection of club nights and festival stages throughout the year. Mother remains GCN’s largest and longest-running fundraiser, and it has also supported organisations like TENI and ShoutOut, continuing to help provide for the local LGBTQ+ community beyond its role as a queer space.

Mother will be sure to “see out 2026 and welcome 2027 in style” at their New Year’s Eve Party. Tickets from €16.92 are on sale now at Eventbrite for those who are over 21. Make sure to get yours before they’re gone!

Support GCN

GCN is a free, vital resource for Ireland’s LGBTQ+ community since 1988.

GCN is a trading name of National LGBT Federation CLG, a registered charity - Charity Number: 20034580.

GCN relies on the generous support of the community and allies to sustain the crucial work that we do. Producing GCN is costly, and, in an industry which has been hugely impacted by rising costs, we need your support to help sustain and grow this vital resource.

Supporting GCN for as little as €1.99 per month will help us continue our work as Ireland’s free, independent LGBTQ+ media.
