David Gandy – model extraordinaire – will appear in the upcoming Absolutely Fabulous film.

You read that right.

David Gandy will put the abs in Absolutely Fabulous (we’re sorry), after Jennifer Saunders said she wants “everyone who has ever been in the show in it.”

“I was in a one-off version of Ab Fab for Sport Relief in 2012,” Gandy told the Daily Mail. “I hear the film’s about fashion and media so it’s a world I understand. People think I’m super-serious when I’m pouting for the cameras so I like to show I have a personality.”

Recently Saunders gave an update on the film’s progress during a recent episode of The Jonathan Ross Show:

“There’s some stuff I like, some stuff I’ve cut out. It’ll be an ongoing process until it’s actually finished. I need [a bet] or a deadline or just sheer panic. I’ve got all the ideas, you think of everything in your head and then you pick up a pen… or go to your computer and it just goes ‘urgh can’t be bothered, I think it’s funny but I can’t be bothered’ and then you go ‘Candy Crush is calling!’”

This news comes just weeks after Rebel Wilson was announced to star in the film.
