Today in non-news, Will Smith’s rep has had to state that his son, Jaden Smith, is in fact not gay following a tweet he posted.

16 year old Jaden – son of Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith –  sent a tweet to rapper Tyler the Creator on March 6, saying that he loved him.

So far, so innocent.

Not quite. A gossip site then ran with the story, claiming that this is Jaden’s way of ‘coming out’.

MediaTakeOut then reported: “IT HAPPENED!!! Will Smith’s Son Jaden Smith Comes OUT OF THE CLOSET… He Admitted On Twitter… That He’s GAY!!!”

“Congratulations are in order for Will Smith’s son JADEN SMITH – he came OUT HE CLOSET on Twitter last week. There has been SPECULATION for years that Jaden might have been gay… now there is NO DOUBT.”

“Jaden, who is known for wearing DRESSES out in public – explained to his Twitter followers that he is ‘falling in love’ with raper [sic] Tyler the Creator.

“Shortly after the tweet though, someone from Will or Jada’s PR team must have got wind of it… and they made him DELETE the tweet.”

MediaTakeOut claimed the tweet was deleted at the request of the star’s team, however it is still available to see on his Twitter account.

“There’s no truth to any of it,” a rep told Gossip Cop in relation to the whole story.
