Cut Video brought 30 gay men together, from all backgrounds and races, to respond to ‘faggot’ in one word – the reaction was surprisingly mixed.

It’s obvious that people have very mixed views on the word ‘faggot’. Traditionally an abusive insult, young gay man have started to “take back” the word and use it amongst their peers.

“I can use it – I’m a faggot, there you go! Because once I use it, it no longer has power,” says one young gay men, while another thinks it is a “a very abusive, vocal assault.”
