Late Night host, Seth Meyers, completely debunks suggestions that keeping the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance will promote sexual abuse.

Last week, the city of Houston voted overwhelmingly against new laws that will protect LGBT people. What did citizens take issue with? They were lead to believe that any male sexual predator could “pretend” to be a woman to go into the ladies restroom.

Seth Meyers tackles these transphobic “myths” head on.

“So the ads focused exclusively on the bathroom issue even though the law had nothing to do with that,” he says. “There’s also no evidence that this has ever been a problem in places that do have these laws.”
