You could win tickets to see ‘Pygmalion’ by Bernard Shaw in Smock Alley Theatre

We’re giving you the chance to win two tickets to see Bernard Shaw’s play ‘Pygmalion’ in the Smock Alley Theatre on August 3rd.

Here’s what the theatre company says about the show:

Smock Alley presents as its sixth in-house production, George Bernard Shaw’s most popular and best loved play, Pygmalion.

Regarded as one of the greatest comedies in the English language for it’s sharp wit and subversiveness, this gloriously witty and enchanting story was the inspiration for the Oscar winning film ‘My Fair Lady’.

Eccentric linguistics Professor Henry Higgins attempts to transform unrefined flower seller Eliza Doolittle into a Duchess. For a bet.

This hilarious classic of world literature is a satirical take on society’s notions of class, money and the struggle for personal independence. The contemporary themes of feminism and gender prove that Shaw, one of Ireland’s Nobel Laureates, was light-years ahead of his time.

To be in with a chance to win two tickets to see ‘Pygmalion’, simply answer the following question.

Which Oscar-winning film did Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion inspire?
