Dublin photography duo MA-KE are looking for "real, LGBT+ people in their own clothes" for an upcoming shoot.

” We are trying to create something spectacular. “

Photographers Maciej Pestka and Kenneth O’Halloran  (now known as the duo MA-KE) are teaming up to work with London based fashion stylist Graham Cruz on a photoshoot using masks inspired by shoe fetishes.

Inspired by the shoe fetish that was becoming more prominent to him amongst his environment, Cruz has created these masks out of sneakers. To keep the shoot authentic, the team wants to use “real, LGBT+ people in their own clothes” to photograph these masks. Pestka describes the portraits as being “inspired by the Dutch painting portraits. With a lot of mood and atmosphere.”

Pestka described the criteria for the shoot below…

“What we are looking for is either guys or girls. It’s important for us to keep it authentic. So we’d like each person to bring their own clothes, and one additional change. I’d say it will be mainly head and shoulders but we are not limiting ourselves to that.

Hair and makeup is left to the person in front of the lens. – again, its about how they are in reality.

Most of the face will be covered, the masks leave eyes, hair and mouth visible in most cases.”

The shoot will happen in Dublin on the 8th of August.
