The Grammy winning, über-talented 17 year-old, Lorde called out a DJ who disrespectfully asked were her and Taylor Swift an item.

When interviewed on The Kyle & Jackie Show on Australia’s KIIS 1065 radio station, the DJs asked her about her blooming friendship with Taylor Swift.

DJ Kyle commented, “I see your guys’ pictures everywhere. As you guys, like, together now?”

Lorde practically handed Kyle a metaphorical shovel by staying silent, and he continued to dig himself a giant hole. He continued, “Not together as in lesbians…I’m not talking about ‘Ellen together.’ I’m talking about, like, you guys are friendly, right?”

Lorde responded, “What do you mean you’re not talking about ‘Ellen together?’ Is there something wrong with lesbians? Is that what you’re trying to say?”

After he quickly and nervously back tracked, a deadpan Lorde only added, “Don’t ever try it. It’s not working.”
