Meanwhile, in bizarre news, a Disney comic from the 1930s was recently unearthed and depicts Mickey Mouse assaulting someone for being effeminate.

Disney has come a long way in the past 80 years, so it’s strange to think of a time when it was completely acceptable…nay, “entertaining”, for our hero Mickey to attack someone for not being “manly” enough.

The 1931 comic shows Mickey visiting Kat Nipp, a cat with a spring in his step and an obvious lisp. The feline reeks of that old gay stereotype, so what does Mickey do? Kicks him in the arse of course! Oh, the hilarity. *cough*
