A host of hilarious comedians will hit the stage as part of the Comedy Gold: Trans Special night, to be held in The Button Factory this Friday March 15. Fans of quality comedy are recommended to snap up tickets for what promises to be an unmissable night of laughs.

Comedy Gold comedians on the night will include:

Lady K: A cabaret performer, stand up comic and and co-host of the Giving Me Life podcast, she is also one of the founders and co-producers of the queer performance troupe underCURRENT, who have been running their ‘Seriously Camp Cabaret’ shows since 2011.

MJ Stokes: MJ has performed poetry and comedy at Modwordfest, and worked with writing collective Three Pissed Off Queers in order to make Waterford City as gay as humanly possible before running off to Dublin, cackling maniacally at the damage they had wrought.

Anna Wilson: A trans woman who decided that she is done trying to make sense of your world, so you get to come visit hers. Anna has appeared in Bright Club and elsewhere doing comedy, and does improv with her group To The Biscuits. However, this time, she will not be making it up as she goes along!

Avoca Reaction: The intergender drag entity/Queer performer/Quing.  As host of Avoca’s big durty queer cabaret they are a legend of the Dublin Drag scene.

Felix O’Connor: Felix is a queer trans man and, as he says himself, that’s the only interesting thing about him, so he’s trying to work with what he has! He prides himself on his originality, a neutral term that makes it sound like he’s creative in a positive and entertaining way.

Dev Ryan: A Northern Irish comedy upstart based in Belfast who has performed at the cabaret show Queertopia, Up The Left Comedy Club and Monday Night Comedy at The Pavilion.

Neill Farrell: Neil’s material is all about positivity and finding ways to like yourself and your fellow man. It’s all about being queer, and being open, and finding the joyful, deviant acts of rebellion against a world that seems pretty determined to make us sad and horny and in need of chips.

Allie O’Rourke: Allie has performed nationwide, pedaling her brand of Girl Dick Energy, gracing stages such as Whelans and The Comedy Cellar. She is cofounder and 1/4 of The Petty And Heartbroken Comedy Tour, Producer and 1/3 of The Post Performance Pints Podcast and the resident MC of Bounceback Comedy. Allie is a hilarious and eye opening middle finger to a world that doesn’t want trans people to exist.

So get yourself down to Comedy Gold for a riotous night of hilarity!
