Drag Race UK crowns winner but runner up also gets their own show

While the internet has been divided over whether the right queen won, the third place finisher has landed quite the coup.

Drag Race UK has crowned its queen.

While there were concerns at the beginning over whether the BBC version could hold its own against the US original, the show has surpassed all expectations, becoming one of the best loved series of the show ever and winning over legions of fans who had become jaded with the format.

The one thing that many fans can’t agree on? The winner. Spoilers ahead!

After Baga Chipz basically eliminated herself with a final speech in which she described herself as not up to par with her competitors, it came down to a face-off between the super polished The Vivienne and the uber talented Divina De Campo.

In the end, The Vivienne snatched it. but what had the fans to say?

While The Vivienne was a clear frontrunner from episode one, already holding the title of the show’s UK ambassador, it seems A LOT of people think Divina was robbed of the UK Drag Race crown.

It’s never a reality competition finale without tons of folk claiming the winner was robbed or the judges were unfair, but something that has been notably absent was those folk who complain “I’m never watching this show again!” because, honestly, THEY WILL.

Now, while it may seem it’s Divina and The Vivienne who are garnering the most column inches, third place finisher Baga Chipz landed a HUGE coup which was announced mere minutes after the finale.

The prize for first place was a web series produced by World Of Wonder, but while that show, The Vivienne Takes Hollywood, is in the works – a brand new web series called Morning T&T has been announced. Baga will star alongside Viv as their Snatch Game characters – Margaret Thatcher and Donald Trump – in a breakfast TV show parody due to reach screens as early as December.

So while Baga may not have taken the crown, we can bet she’s feeling much betta.
