In November, BeLong To Youth Services held the Inaugural Rainbow Ball in aid of ‘StandUp!’ the largest anti-bullying campaign in Ireland.
Hosted by comedian and actress Tara Flynn, with guest appearance by BeLonG To alumnus and influencer James Kavanagh, auction hosted by Eamon O’Connor of Adams Auctioneers, and two incredibly moving speeches from BeLonG To service user Katie McCabe and Kirsty Donohue, mum to Dylan, a young trans service user. Entertainment was provided by The Bugle Babes and DJ Rocky Delgado.
After the auction, raffle and tickets sales, the Rainbow Ball raised a profit of €53,000 that will allow BeLonG To to reach hundreds more young people across the country, to ensure they have the best possible chance at a safe and supportive education.
Special thanks to sponsors Salesforce, Marks and Spencer, Coca-Cola, Tesco, State Street, Dalata Hotel Group and Microsoft for supporting the inaugural event.
2018 Rainbow Ball
Following on from the success of the Inaugural Ball, BeLonG To Youth Services are delighted to announce the 2018 Rainbow Ball will take place on Friday, November 16th in the Ballsbridge Hotel.
By supporting this event you will raise funds for vital services including the largest anti-bullying project in the country ‘Stand Up’ which protects young people from isolation, fear and bullying in schools, issues which are unfortunately still prevalent across the country. Your support will ensure young LGBT+ people feel safe and happy to be themselves at school.
The night will be launched with a drinks reception from 7pm, evening entertainment will include a three-course meal, special guests, raffle and an art auction.
A special early bird rate of €1000 per table of 10 is being offered until March 30th (subject to availability).
