Ready to live like a Barbie girl in a Barbie world? In celebration of the new film starring the iconic doll, Airbnb and Mattel are offering guests a chance to stay in a real-life version of the Barbie Malibu DreamHouse.
The property, which was first offered as an Airbnb in 2019, has received a makeover just in time for its return to the site, this time with a twist. Instead of Barbie, it’s Ken that will be hosting guests’ stays, and he’s made sure to leave his mark on his “Kendom” while Barbie is away. According to the listing, the Airbnb will be open to two pairs of lucky guests to “live it up Ken-style for a neon night in Barbie Land.”
Ken has added his own cowboy-themed decorations to the space, as well as planning out fun activities for guests such as roller skating in his disco-themed rink, trying out clothes in his wardrobe, or sliding down the second-storey slide into the pool, which boasts floating letters spelling out his name as a finishing touch!

In true Barbie style, the Malibu property also features beachfront views, with Ken inviting guests to challenge their friends to a “‘beach off’ with plenty of sunbathing and chillaxing by the infinity pool,” the Airbnb description reads. Guests can even try their hand at surfing with the board they’ll get from Ken as a gift for spending the night at the glamorous DreamHouse.
Interested fans can start booking their Barbie DreamHouse getaways beginning on July 17 at 6pm IST for a one-night stay on July 21 or 22. Mattel is responsible for choosing the two pairs of lucky guests to invite to the property and who knows, maybe you’ll be the one selected to spend the night in Barbie World!
