Trans icon and staunch Republican, Caitlyn Jenner, blasted democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for “not caring about women”.
During the first episode of season 2 I Am Cait, Caitlyn Jenner made it very clear that she was not a Clinton supporter.
While discussing the US Presidential Race, conservative Jenner said that the possibility of Hillary Clinton becoming president was “unfortunate”.
“If we are unfortunate enough to get Hillary as our next president, we need her on our side,” she said. “But she won’t be. It would be the last place I want to be. She couldn’t care less about women, she only cares about herself.”
She explained how she thinks that Republican party is better at rebuilding the economy and creating jobs for all citizens. When asked which Republican candidate would be the most supportive of trans people, Jenner replied, “All of them”.
Just last week, Jenner pledged her support for Ted Cruz, a consistent opponent of LGBT rights – and offered to be his official “trans adviser”.
“Sometimes these girls think that because I have transitioned, that I must change,” she told The Advocate in a recent interview. “That I can’t be conservative anymore or you have to be a liberal. No, I don’t believe that. I think I can keep my views the same because I feel in my heart that is the best way to go.”
