Jointly hosted by the iconic Mother and District 8, the legendary Glitterbox party is coming to Ireland at the end of the month. And we’re excited to be able to offer GCN readers a chance to win a pair of tickets!
Glitterbox is considered an exciting world-class nightlife phenomenon. Conceptualised in 2014 by Simon Dunmore, founder of house music institution Defected Records, since its inception, Glitterbox promises to be “an inclusive, uplifting party atmosphere designed to unite all ages, persuasions and walks of life on the dancefloor”.
District 8, one of Ireland’s most popular and successful Irish clubbing brands and Mother, everyone’s favourite iconic LGBTQ+ disco club, have come together to host Glitterbox as the opening night of the new ‘D8 IN THE GARDEN’ event series.
The ‘D8 IN THE GARDEN’ event series is “A brand new concept inspired by acclaimed international events such as Brunch In The Park & Piknic Électronik. An exciting summer gathering, surrounded by nature in the magical Walled Garden at Palmerstown House, Co. Kildare, only 20 minutes from Dublin City!”
After Glitterbox kicks off the series, Grammy-nominated duo CAMELPHAT take to the stage on August 6, while German sensation Boris Brejcha headlines on August 12.
District 8 and Mother said, “We’ve been keen on hosting [Glitterbox’s] Irish debut for a good few years now.”. The team were gutted when they were forced to cancel the Glitterbox Ireland debut in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic but they can’t wait to get everyone dancing this July.
