The celebrations begin bright and early on Friday morning at 10am, with the annual Pride Flag Raising Ceremony at Millmount, accompanied by special guests including TikTok influencer Jack Swift.

At 12pm, the heart of the festival, the Drogheda Pride Parade gets underway, departing from King Street Car Park. The whole community is invited to join this joyous march through town, proudly showcasing Drogheda’s ongoing commitment to equality, diversity, and solidarity. Gardaí will be on hand to manage temporary road closures to ensure everyone’s safety during the parade.

For those looking to explore local talent and enjoy community spirit, the Cottage Market will be open from 12pm to 5pm in the indoor market at Scotch Hall, offering a wonderful mix of handmade crafts, local goods, and friendly faces.

Young people are especially welcome at the Boomerang Youth Café, open from 2pm to 6pm. This Pride-themed drop-in offers a safe, supportive, and fun environment for LGBTQ+ youth and allies of all ages to connect, relax, and celebrate together.

The festivities conclude with a bang at the Drogheda Pride Main Event, taking place from 8pm until late at McHughs Venue. Hosted by the fabulous Phil T Gorgeous, the evening features a star-studded line-up of drag artists including Wicked White (headliner), Bon Bon, Kobra Kage, Bairbre Spice, Avatar Guille, Leana Doon, and Therese Cahill. The night will also feature live music by The Telling Band.
