Over the weekend, Hillary Clinton officially announced her plans to run for President in 2016 with a new campaign video – which features a gay couple.

Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of State, announced her presidential candidacy through a video and over Twitter. She wrote:

I’m running for president. Everyday Americans need a champion, and I want to be that champion. –H https://t.co/w8Hoe1pbtC

The video features a diverse range of American citizens, from new parents, to gay couples, to first time business owners and ends with Clinton declaring that she is going to be a “champion” for “everyday Americans.”

In 2013, Clinton officially backed Marriage Equality in a video for the Human Rights Campaign.
