Graham Norton has said that he thinks that the upcoming Eurovision will be “quite straight” this year.

The Eurovision commentator made the prediction to the Radio Times, predicting that the Vienna show will not be as camp as last year’s Conchita Wurst spectacular.

“It’ll be interesting this year – I think it’s going to be quite a straight contest”, he told RadioTimes.com. “Austria are taking it quite seriously, they’re delighted to have it. And there are lots and lots of ballads this year. There aren’t that many upbeat songs.”

“Conchita was really special, that night was just great,” he said, “We’ll see if that can be replicated this year, I doubt it can be because it was just – I don’t know, it’s stupid, it’s a singing competition, who actually cares? On the night, it was sort of moving and lovely.”

Sweden’s upbeat entry is the bookies’ favourite to win on May 23rd.

But we think we have a great chance with Molly Sterling.
