From the good folks who brought you Drag and Draw come a new artsy craft night called ‘Pimp My Drag’ which will take place in Street 66 on Thursday, August 16. For their inaugural show, it’s a Madonna special as they celebrate the 60th birthday of the iconic woman herself.

Pimp My Drag will work essentially like a RuPaul’s Drag Race mini challenge. Whats not to love??
In teams of 3 or 4, you will be given the task of creating accessories based on iconic looks of the woman herself. Feel free to come solo though and they will assign you a team.
The amazing Bonny Ann Clyde will then look over everyone’s creations, (“It feels… reductive”), don her favourites and serve some Madge lipsyncs!

Drag and Draw For A Good Cause
The team have also planned their 6th Drag and Draw event in Street 66. This event will be a fundraiser for returning queen Gia Jones and an LGBT+ charity of her choice.
This is in response to a recent attack on Gia after the 5th Drag and Draw event, which she selflessly volunteered for so that money could be raised for BeLonG To. On her way home, she was attacked, punched and mugged and as a small gesture, the organisers would like to raise money for Gia.
Organisers of Drag and Draw said:
“As usual, the vibe on the night was very laid back. So much so, that some of our new attendees commented on what an inclusive, open atmosphere there was. It is sometimes easy to forget that that safety does not always extend outside.
Support Gia, support us, support drag and support the community by coming out once again and enjoying Gia in all her glory!”
