It has been revealed that more than 30 schools in the UK are currently using textbooks teaching that homosexuality is a choice – and that AIDS can be avoided through religion.

Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) has listed over 30 schools participant schools of Britain on its website, with many of the establishments being private Christian schools.

Instead of studying for the traditional GCSEs or A-Levels, the students work to attain an International Christian Certificate of Education. One of the textbooks – seen below – teaches that homosexuality is a choice, and that AIDS can be avoided by following the bible. It also comments on evolution, stating it is a lie, and calls abortion “wrong”.

It reads, “The Bible records that God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexual activity. Some people mistakenly believe that an individual is born a homosexual and his attraction to those the same sex is normal”.

“Because extensive tests have shown that there is no biological difference between homosexuals and others, these tests seem to prove that homosexuality is a learned behaviour. In Old Testament times, God commanded that homosexuals be put to death”.

A Department for Education spokesperson commented on the news, “All independent schools – including those run by Christian Education Europe – must ensure that pupils are taught respect for others of different cultures and beliefs”.
