Fresh off his team’s win at GCN’s Roast Battle Royale, Irish comic Shane Daniel Byrne has announced his new nationwide tour. The upcoming show, Baby This Time, explores the feeling of being left behind; while Byrne’s friends are having babies, he’s just having the craic. And what’s wrong with that?

Shane Daniel Byrne has solidified himself as a standout of the Irish comedy scene after critically acclaimed national tours, But He’s So Gay and Trouble DenimHe first broke into the comedy circuit after making it to the finals of So You Think You’re Funny? at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and also won the ‘Rockies Champion’ title at The Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in 2019. He has sold out major venues across the country, including Vicar Street, and made appearances at leading festivals like Electric Picnic and the Paddy Power Comedy Festival.

In addition to his own successful tours, he has supported other Irish comics, David O’Doherty, Tony Cantwell (his fellow podcast host) and Vittorio Angelone. He was also featured in one of Emma Doran’s past tours, before taking her and her team on at GCN’s Roast Battle Royale

David O’Doherty made sure to give his colleague a glowing review, calling Byrne: “My favourite new Irish comedian for many years.”

Byrne’s upcoming tour will take him to over 25 theatres across Ireland and the UK, kicking off where it all started at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Byrne’s podcast, Young Hot Guys, with Tony Cantwell and Killian Sundermann gives viewers a taste of his relatable and heartfelt humour that has propelled him through his career. Similar to the topics discussed on the podcast, Baby This Time encourages laughing through growing pains as Byrne navigates his 30s.

The Irish comic’s tour will stretch over five months next spring from January to May 2027, with all dates available to see below.
