Fans are absolutely in love with everything about the Curtis cosplay wedding. Ruby, daughter of Jamie Lee Curtis, wed her now-wife Kynthia over the weekend, adorned in elaborate costumes and putting their own special stamp on the unconventional ceremony.

The beautiful couple posed together in their cosplay finery two years after Ruby came out to the world as Transgender in 2020. Kynthia was the first person to learn of Ruby’s true gender identity and she has remained supportive from that moment on.
“A JOYFUL DAY!” Jamie Lee wrote on Instagram, captioning a sweet image of the loved-up pair cutting into their stunning flower-topped cake. “TEAM WORK made the DREAM WORK!”
Jamie Lee played two parts in Ruby’s big day, both as the mother of the bride and as the ceremony officiant, giving the event yet another sweet personal touch. The Freaky Friday star also played host to the nuptials, with the entire day taking place in her backyard draped in rainbow flags and balloons. For the occasion, her Hollywood Hills home was transformed into Halloween Kills, while Jamie Lee herself cosplayed as Jaina Proudmoore from World of Warcraft.

“YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS UP!” wrote Curtis on social media, “The ONLY thing left over at the end of this entire BEAUTIFUL wedding after everything was taken away was this f-ing BUTCHER KNIFE they cut the tiramisu wedding cake with!”
The shot of Curtis posing with the butcher knife harkens back to her role as Laurie in the Halloween movies, a reference that did not bypass fans. The proud mother and actress stood against a rainbow backdrop wearing a shirt that says “Wife is Sweet”, reminding us of her powerful support when Ruby came out.
“We’re gonna have a beautiful picnic in the backyard. I’m really excited,” she told Jimmy Kimmel back in March. “Both my children will have been married in my backyard, which brings me to tears … It’s so much more meaningful.”
