X Factor sensation Jedward have officially come out in support of a Yes vote in the upcoming marriage referendum.
The X Factor sensations turned Eurovision stars, announced at an event in Facebook HQ, Dublin today that they will be voting Yes for marriage equality on May 22.
“I feel like it’s a massive moment. It is acceptable now,” said one half of the duo, John Grimes. “People should vote Yes because there’s no big deal. People make a big deal out of it, but the answer should be Yes.”
His brother Edward added, “The answer should be Yes because everyone deserves equality.”
The 23 year-old twins from Lucan first rose to prominence in 2009’s series of The X Factor before going on the represent Ireland in the Eurovision in 2011 and 2012.
